FAQ

  • Why should we fund open source projects?

You already rely on them—funding helps keep those projects alive, maintained, and evolving. It's a win for your developers, your infrastructure, and the community.

  • What happens after I submit my pledge?

Your pledge is held in our Stripe account until the issue you pledged to is resolved. Once resolved, the funds are distributed among the contributor who solved the issue, the maintainer who reviewed the code, and a small portion is retained by us to cover processing fees.

  • How do I start earning by contributing?

Just sign up, browse funded issues, and start contributing! Once your pull request is accepted, you get paid. Simple as that.

  • What payment provider does OpenPledge use?

OpenPledge uses Stripe to securely process funds and manage both the pledge and payout transactions.
